You can now purchase the rotary blades for your rotary cutter online from Harbor Freight. They are two blades in a pack for $1.99. Shipping isn't cheap but if you can get your husband to order something that works out great.

Harbour Freight store has them on sale for 1.79. Bought myself 5 packs.

I went to Harbor Freight on the way to my DD's house. They don't stock them at that store. I looked online and they were on sale for $1.79 for the 2 pack..thanks for the tip..

This has been posted before but it is always good be reminded. also there are often 20% off coupon in flyers. I have used several of these blades and have no problems with them. Even with the cost of shipping it is a better deal that olfe blades.
