Does anyone have trouble cutting even with a new blade? I find that I have to go over it twice to really cut the fabric. I am bearing down really hard too.

Did you get your cutter put back together correctly?

I have some new blades that seem to have issues  They don't make a clean cut :hunf: Try another blade and see if it continues

Make sure you don't have 2 blades in. Be sure the little washer thingee is in the right direction. I found this helpful from olfa.

Those things stick together and you can't even tell you have two. I've done it.

Maybe that is the problem....if you press too hard, the blade does not roll correctly and will not cut well. If you have checked, and you do not have 2 blades inserted, you have verified you put all parts back together correctly, and you have a good mat (one without cuts which catch the fabric as the rotary blade moves over the cuts)....Then my comment is the quality of the blade is in question. All rotary blades are not created equal............those sold by Martelli ( and yes they are expensive) will cut thru aluminum cans and still cut your fabric beautifully............Those are the only ones I use anymore......all of the others became dull or were easily nicked before I had half of a top cut........
