    my new Viking machine has bigger bobbins...15% bigger they claim. Trust me they still run out of thread at inoportune times
    It does beep at me when I reach the specific area of the bobbin that holds the starting thread and from experience I can get about another yard of stitching in.

    I'm also one that fills up the bobbin holder when I run through them all. Takes about 15 minutes to do them all. I can't justify buying wound bobbins, but that's just me.
