I don't want it on the bias for sashing. My quilt friend is making a QAYG and she said she would try to made some, It can't be that hard.

So sorry if you have problems with the video, but if you google youtube - using bias tape makers, you should find plenty.

The method I would use for making my own. Press several strips using the tape maker, place 2 strips wrong sides together, and sew lengthwise down the middle with a long stitch, (maybe loosen tension a tad - to pull out later). Make sure the edges are matching as you will also be sewing thru the back strip. I wouldn't make smaller than 1/2" tape, and that's daring. If you choose a wider 2" sashing, this method also allows you to pull strips of batting through after taking out those long stitches.
    Seams easy - in theory.

I'm making my own right now, putting QAYG blocks together and using 2 1/2" wide strips with 9 patch blocks. Simple to do and I can use fabric that goes with the blocks. I'm thinking that to use it with blocks with points you could use purchased double fold bias tape that would finish to 1/4" or make your own with bias tape makers. Might be a little tedious for me.
