My hairdresser and her sister are opening in a new location with plenty of wall space to fill. One does haircutting, the other does alterations. I thought making a scissor-theme quilt would be fun since they both are "cutting". Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Do you primarily piece or applique?

Doing a search on "hairdresser quilt" gave me lots of panels, fabrics, there are free pieced or appliqued patterns as well.

I think it sounds like a lovely project -- I hope you post a picture when you are done.

Ok, I think I will just take items from this pattern. Scissors, Sewing machine, Iron and pincushion.
