I have Gingher and Kai scissors and actually like them both, but if I have to pick a favorite, I would go with Kai.

Fiskars for my large scissors and Ginghers for my small hand sewing scissors.

I really like my Fiskars with the spring action but I also have pair that my father bought in the hardware section at Walmart. They are a little heavier but they are great. They are Rubbermaid and have a little seration. They are great for cutting thin fabric that wants to run away or heavier fabric. I was just happy that my father thought of me for once.

My favorite go to scissors are made by Fiskers and I don't think you will find them in the fabric store...I found them in the lawn and garden department of Home Depot. They have a serrated blade with the traditional orange Fiskers handle and they cut like butter...

I have had my Ginghers, several pairs, more than 15 yrs and have not had them sharpened. When that time comes, I will send them back to the office to do so. I also have a left handed gingher rotary cutter.
I do own a pair of Fiskars sissors, left handed, that I use reguarly.
Love them all.

Well, unlike everyone else, I have the Fiskars Titanium blade scissors (or shears) with the spring handle. I have arthritis in my wrist and hand and find I can't use a regular scissors any more. I get terrible cramps in my fingers The Fiskars have a hand hole instead of thumb and finger holes. My wrist doesn't bend so I find the angle of these is perfect for my hand. We all have to find what works for us.

I've "wasted" a lot of money on a lot of brands. Gingher is the only way to go!

I bought a pair of KAI scissors from the Houston Quilt show a couple of years ago....wonderful....could get left handed ones. They have a line of scissors... a little pricy....but wonderful.
