I save the threads and batting little pieces in a tub when I have enough I make my dog pillows with them, use them for stuffing. I also take all kinds of strips left over and sew them all toghether, then cup up and make scrap quilts with them, just use that like it is a piece of material lay the pattern on it cut out dimonds or squares, what every you want

Wow, I didn't think I'd get this many hits on my scraps. I'm going to take first come first served. I have a flat rate box ready to go out...so I'm going to send it out to the first addy on my list. And every time I have a full box, I will gladly send it to the next person.
Thanks lady's for giving my scraps a home.

I do what I call a crazy quilt. It is like the crumb quilt. Dryer sheets used and washed, dryed then iron out flat. Takes time but Not to long. Cut each dryer sheet to the exact same size and do like the crumb quilt only it stays on the dryer sheet for foundation. They make beautiful, colorful quilts for gifts or for home use. I have 2 boxes of scrapes When I get finished with my last wip I am going to start one that way. Mix colors, seperate, light, med, dark. what ever you want. You don't have to worry about points either because of the way it is done you can not see any mistakes very easily.

My colleague has a friend who does a lot of applique. She usually gets my scraps. In applique, no piece seems too small.

I am saving mine and want to try a scrappy quilt. Maybe when I get some of the others I have planned done. It might be a while. :-)

I have been wanting to make a scrap quilt, but I don't have enough scrapes yet to make one. I will take yours.

I never was a scrap quilter either, but I forced myself to try it and now I love it!!

Give it a try, you may find it fun.

Carol Doak says she doesn't have scraps, she just used them for miniature quilts.

my girlfriend and meet once a week to hand sew or cut out whatever. When we don't have much going we bring our scrapes and cut them into 5" charms and 2.5 squares. We hand each other some cut ones when we think there is just to many of one block. we also cut 2.5 strips to sew together for binding, or flip potholders.
Its always a fun day!!
We both love scrappy quilts.

Keep it rock'in
