scraps

I"ve been cutting 1 1/2 inch strips to make a baby quilt and saving the leftover pieces, lots of 1 1/2x1 1/12 squares now. I thought to give them to someone on here until I realized a lot, or most, are probably cotton/poly blends and none of you quilters would want them. I was into girls clothing that wouldn"T need to be ironed!! LOL If anyone wants them, PM me. They aren"t ready to go yet, but will be before too long.

1 inch x 3 1/2 inches Some one on this board posted a tutorial for sewing scraps like that onto adding machine paper. Now I am cutting scraps and organizing them by color in shoe box sized storage boxes saving up to sew them onto the 3 inch wide adding paper.

Pretty much anything less than 1/4 yard, if it's less than 1.5-2", it goes in the "Barbie pillow pile" which I use to stuff the pillows I make for DD's Barbies. 1/4 yrd or more, I fold up and put away.

there are some great posts on the board about scrap quilts and patterns especially for scraps. Bonnie Hunter has a great book called leaders and enders that is all scrap quilts. There is also a set of patterns called scrap therapy that all work off of a system of cutting and organizing your scraps by size.
