Scraps - what to do with them?
#54
I just bought Gylene Fitsgeralds new book Trash to Treasure Pineapple Quilts. It uses 1.5" strips, some as small as 2". Makes an incredible quilt and uses all those small pieces and it is the easiest Pineapple quilt ever.

There are so many of us here on the board who are financially challenged, lol. Any of us would be greatful for your scraps and most would be happy to pay the postage when they can afford to. Just post in the offers section and rarely do they last long before being claimed. For the larger pieces you can usually sell them here if you don't want to just give them to someone. You can also adopt one of us to send them to, like Patski does. I am available for adoption!! Smiles. I live on disability and also make donation quilts, but I am not unique in that. So many of our board members do the same.

Unfortunatly this does happen from time to time . I have sent much more than 10 bucks sending before and not heard. I don't let it interfere with my joy of giving. As I told my son one time when I gave a "begger" some money and my son became upset . "What he does with the money is between him and the creator." You know that was years ago and my son still brings that up sometimes how that moment changed him. Some times if I feel my budget will not allow I ask for the postage up front. I try not to let things like this rob my faith in good people and I am not even a "christian"

I use mine for mug rugs and I'm thinking of making some place mats for my new round table. I just have so many of them. I Volunteer at the Hospital making pillows, so I don't throw those scraps either. so I have a variety.
