Is it any different than an overextended 1/4" foot?

Seems just to be 1/4 guide which is what most feet have now

I'd be curious too. Looks like a plastic guide that lines up the fabric whether you have a 1/4" foot or not. Would be used in place of mole skin (which I use), post it notes, or painters tape. I googled and Overstock has them cheaper.

I have two of them in package, unopened. PM me if you would be interested for $5.00 each plus shipping.

Don/t need it as I have a 1/4" foot with a flange that I enlarged the neelde hoe so I can move the needle 1 position to either side ... and one without where I can move needle position even more.

Does moleskin work better than the probably plastic adhesive
strip that is sold for that purpose?

When I had my longarm cast, the doctors gave me pieces of moleskin to put on the edges of the cast at the base of my fingers. It was really soft and prevented blisters. My late DH also had it to put on the oxygon tubes to prevent his cheeks from being inflamed from the tubing. It is it is a tough, soft cloth-like material on one side and an adhesive pad on the other side. You can get a couple of different thicknesses.

I hope lots of people use it and tell us that it helps a lot when sewing long strips.

I'm really pathetic when it comes to accurate, consistent seams, no matter what I use to help me keep them straight - which is why I bought this in the first place.

But it was at least two years ago and I've still never used it. :D

I'm way too lazy to try it myself.

It has directions - anything that has directions is too much trouble.

*Until* I piece the next strip quilt and I can't keep a consistent " seam.... and after.... always after.... I wish I had gotten out the Seams Sew Fast. :D

Thanks for all the feedback. I had questions about this, too.

I had one, it lasted for one long seam then it went in the trash. I did not have the patience to use it. I use a stack of post-its that I put about 2" ahead of the presser foot when I do long seams.

Ah ha! Our first review!!!!! And not a love fest. lol. Well, I'm guessing if it was the wonder tool for perfect seams, people would have been all over this with positive feedback. I guess I'm going to pass on this, but I would like to know how to work the moleskin. How does one set it up?

At first glance I liked it. Might solve a problem I have - I love the 1/4" foot but I can't use a single hole plate because I have to move my needle position to get a scan 1/4". This doohickey would give me an "extended" 1/4" guide and I can keep my needle centered with a single hole plate. Plus, my husband has something in his shop that is very similar that I could use cheaply!

Then I noticed something ... this thing is long. Quite long. And to work it will need to be adhered to the base of the machine.

RIGHT OVER THE TOP OF THE BOBBIN COVER!!! (At least on both of my machines)

    DOH!!!
