    Seaside Quilter's lost quilt update . . . .

I'm on vacation, and Saturday my son sent me a text accompanied by a picture. "Guess what I have" and it was a picture of my lost quilt and the thank you card from my LAQ. A neighbor two doors away from mine who has been on vacation for a month came home on Saturday and found a ripped open box on her porch. She saw my name on the label at the same time the neighbor in between us came outside. She asked the second neighbor (who knew I was looking for my quilt) about it and they both walked it over to my house and gave it to my son (who happened to be there feeding my kitty). He went bonkers and sent me the text. I'm anxious to get home and see what condition it's in and then scurry to put the binding on for my daughter's baby shower this Saturday. I would like to thank all the Board members who were so concerned about my quilt to send me PMs to ask about it. I really appreciate your interest.

I didn't know it was missing, but it feels really good that it was found. Hope it is the way it should be.

So glad you have a happy ending. I wonder how long it had been sitting on your neighbor's porch. I'm happy that it's home.

I remember reading the thread when you lost it, and am so glad it's been found. I hope you notify the carrier, so they realize that they delivered to the wrong house. (I would have already looked on every porch in the neighborhood, knowing how these things can happen.)

    That's wonderful - I'm so happy!!!!!!!!!

Still doesn't explain why the package ended up at the wrong address. But I guess it only matters that it came to a happy ending!

Good news! I learned to look at neighbors porches for packages I expect to get when they don't arrive. All my neighbors work and never home except at night and most don't use their front door at all so they never see a package left there.
