A real 60's song. It's knowing that your door is always open and your path is free to walk, that makes me want to leave my sleeping bag rolled up and stashed behind your couch. Thanks Carreen

One of my all-time favorites is Mountains by Lonestar. the chorus is:
I've been around and I've noticed that
Walking is easy when the road is flat
But those danged old hills will get you every time.
When you can't lean on no one else
That's when you find yourself.
The Good Lord gave us Mountains, so we could learn how to climb.
I've been around and I've noticed that
Walking is easy when the road is flat
But those danged old hills will get you every time.
When you can't lean on no one else
That's when you find yourself.
The Good Lord gave us Mountains, so we could learn how to climb.

"Don't Think Twice, It's All Right"
It ain't no use to sit and wonder why, babe
If’in you don’t know by now
An' it ain't no use to sit and wonder why, babe
It’ll never do some how.
When your rooster crows at the break of dawn
Look out your window and I'll be gone
You're the reason I'm trav'lin' on
Don't think twice, it's all right
It ain't no use in turnin' on your light, babe
That light I never knowed
An' it ain't no use in turnin' on your light, babe
I'm on the dark side of the road
but I wish there was somethin' you would do or say
To try and make me change my mind and stay
We never did too much talkin' anyway
So don't think twice, it's all right
It ain't no use in callin' out my name, gal
Like you never done before
It ain't no use in callin' out my name, gal
I can't hear you any more
I'm a-thinkin' and a-wond'rin' walkin’ down the road
I once loved a woman, a child I'm told
I give her my heart but she wanted my soul
But don't think twice, it's all right
So long, Honey Babe
Where I'm bound, I can't tell
But Goodbye's too good a word, babe
So I'll just say fare thee well
I ain't sayin' you treated me unkind
You could have done better but I don't mind
You just kinda wasted my precious time
But don't think twice, it's all right
It ain't no use to sit and wonder why, babe
If’in you don’t know by now
An' it ain't no use to sit and wonder why, babe
It’ll never do some how.

"Louie Louie" really defined the '60's. But we never knew the lyrics to the rest of it. We had to wait 'til the Internet was invented so we could find out what our song was all about!
Not sure yet, that we actually KNOW! :-)

Monday, Monday, can't trust that day.
The Mamas and the Papas
Goin' to Carolina in my mind. James Taylor
Only the good die young. Billy Joel
They say that these are not the best of times
But they're the only times I've ever known.
......(some other lines are in there too)
For we are always what our situations hand us
It's either sadness or euphoria.
---from Summer Highland Falls, Billy Joel
Nothing's gonna harm you, not while I'm around
Nothing's gonna harm you, no sir, not while I'm around
Demons are prowling everywhere, nowadays,
I'll send 'em howling
I don't care, I got ways
---Stephen Sondheim (from Sweeney Todd)

At last my love has come along, my lonely nights are over and life is like a dream...Etta James "At Last"
Oh she may be weary, young girls they do get weary, wearing that same old ragged dress, but when she gets weary try a little tenderness.... Ottis Redding " Try a Little Tenderness
