When you are on a long thread, go to the bottom and it will say "Skip to Page and a box. Put 242 in ther and it will go to that page.

Guess what? I just went to the bottom of the page and can not do it!!

When a topic has more than 15 pages, there is a "skip to" box at the bottom of the page.

Other wise, look up to the url box at the top of the page.
Here it is: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-88678-1.htm
the last number in this address is the page number. In this case it is 1, for page one.

If there were 12 pages to this topic, and you wanted to quickly go to page 9... change the number just before the .htm at the end from 1 to 9  and hit enter

Or to get to the "skip to" page selection change it to 15, and then you can use the box at the bottom of the page :D:D:D

I know how to do it on a post with page numbers but I want to "jump to" in forum sections.

If you're talking about the pages in a forum, rather than the pages in a thread, you can see the URL for the first summary page of the forum is:
http://www.quiltingboard.com/s-1-1.htm

You can change that second "1" to any page you like.

Change it to page 20 and hit "Enter" and go to messages from a few days ago.

Change it to page 500 and hit "Enter" and go to messages from April of last year.

Hey, it works! I, too, am new and have been trying to "catch up" with past posts. I was trying to keep track of where I was on a particular forum and clicking through one page at a time until I reached the spot at whcih I had stopped - according to the date, not the page number, since the page numbers change just about every day.

Thanks so much for sharing this nformation
