I want to start saving my selvages to make something.
How wide do I need to cut them to make them useable? :roll:

I would do 1 1/2 to 2 inches. That way you also get some of the color of the fabric and it's a bit easier to use IMHO

There is a fantastic new book "Quilts from the Selvage Edges" by Karen Griska published by AmericanQuiltersSociety. It is full of great inspiraation. I have just bought it and am begging all my quilting friends for there cut offs so I can get started! Hope this helps!! Oooops! "inspiration"
