I have never had that problem, and I'm afraid I'm bad about changing my needles the "recommended" 8 hours or every project. As long as my stitches are good, I keep the needle.

I use Batiks all the time, I always start each project with a new needle and so far I have never had trouble with the needle becoming dull before I finish a project. I use a Microtex 80/12 on most of the projects I do.

I used to notice that batiks dull my needle faster, then I switched to a titanium needle and I don't notice a difference anymore. I love the titanium needles!

The only problems I have noticed with Batiks is a bad smell coming from them when I iron them. Anyone else notice the smell????Originally Posted by gramquilter2
