I was happily making a Farmer's Wife Block - I've made about 30 of them. Got everything cut, made the half square triangles - half of them wrong sides together, of course - and .. the pieces don't fit. They're supposed to fit. seriously. Somehow I cut some rectangles short. I put it all in time out, closed the door, and came to join you all here. Enough.

How about thou shalt not sew thy clothing in with the binding.

How many times can you sew a corner of a quilt onto some other piece of it when you're quilting on a domestic machine? Is there a limit and then you won't do it anymore? Please?

Ummmm I give up how many?? Oh not a quizz! If it's me then the answer is infinite. I can do just that for hours at a time. Keeps the rest of the family amused listening to me yell at the fabric. Like it's to blame.

Isn't it wonderful to know we're in such good company? I do find that when I start breaking these commandments, I might as well shut it down for the night. Hard to break just one!

    Oh dear, oh dear.
I assume this means none of us will be going to quilters Heaven as would be the case with the original broken Commandments issues.

Repent, Quilters! The End is near!

Thou shalt not sew late, late, late at night, especially in poor lighting conditions. Every time I do this, I look at the work I did the night before and wonder "what was I thinking, when I did this".
