I have a Janome MC6600P and I love it. Janome has come out with their Horizon machine which is to replace the 6600 (or so I was told by my dealer) so you might be able to wrangle yourself a great price on a 6600.

Janome machines are great! I just recently traded my older one for the new Horizon; and have to admit, I never needed anything done to the other one and hated seeing it go. It sewed perfectly!!

Just bought one today! I went in the store to see if it was as good as it sounded, and I fell in love. I think you would really like it. I gave about $50 less than what you were quoted. I found one place on line that would sell it for $599, but I was alittle afraid to try that. Plus I know I will get good service and lessons for that extra $50.

Keep the manual handy, use/refer to it often.

Don't know anything about this particular one. Goole it and see if there is a blog on thos specific one.
