Sewing machine from my cousin Cindy!

My cousin calls me and is fed up with her Disney se270d machine and can not get it to work right.. She is doing something wrong with the bobbin, not loading it right or wrong size bobbin, well she now does not want it... she just wants an older singer of some sort to just plain stitching... so I say, " wanna trade me for an older one that works and does straight stitches" ? She says YES!! so ok, I am sure it is an over sight on her behalf.... I just got the disney machine............. fine by me...

If it was me, I would just buy a cheaper one from any where, if she is only going to use it a few times a year.

I have the "Pooh" version of this machine and I just love it. Unfortunately it has only a 4x4 hoop. I had it in my motor home so I could piece quilt tops when we travel. I pieced so many quilt tops. I also became the official " parachute and uniform fixer" at the race track. I just retired that machine to stay at home and I purchased a innovis 1250D with a larger hoop. Maybe I can embroider on the road, too. I have a quilt by Anita Good Designs that is embroidered in the hoop. I thought it would be a good summer travel project.
    Enjoy your new toy!

Well, I would at least think she deserves a better one than Target's. Maybe give her one with stipulation if she gets tired of it, give it back to you. None of my business really.LOL Just Sayin'

I just sold mine (have another brother EM) it was a little trouper..used it for classes and had absolutely not problem with embroidery..I used pre-wound bobbins almost exclusively. had to downsize machines after buying 2 on a cruise.

Perhaps if you were to get her a sturdy machine (but inexpensive), with a little encouragement you can get her to sew a little more. LOL

Too bad you didnt live close to each other, you might have been able help her in person on how to use her machine.

I agree.....and also that it's none of my business. But I'd get her a nice Brother or something that she'll be happy with and so you won't feel you took advantage. Even if she sews only once a year, she needs something that works and will last.

My thought was that she would trade for an older Singer that could sew. Somehow an $89 Target doesn't fit the deal. Maybe show her how to use the Disney machine? None of my business either. LOL But I love my cousins and would want to help.
