A couple weeks ago I had gone to Wal Mart and did what I needed to do then went to my truck. I reached into my purse to get my keys, where I normally drop them when I get out of truck, no keys. WT... Thinking I left them in the truck, I walk around looking to see if I can see them, no. I call my son, he's not answering his phone, called my husband at work, he's not answering his phone, nobody was answering their phone to come bail me out. My brother-in-law still had the spare key I carry from when he was living with us and needed to borrow our truck. Thinking where was the last place I saw them, went in checked with the people at the returns counter, maybe I left them sitting there, nope. About this time i'm getting really miffed and headed out to the truck to sit on the tailgate and feel sorry for myself till I could reach someone. I put my hands on my hips and noticed that there was a bulge in my jeans pocket, hmmmmm guess what I found. Some days are just those kind of days.
I've loved reading everyone elses misadventures. The laughs have been great.
Oh and a little bit ago I spent 10 mins. ripping out the stitches on a block that took me 20 mins. to put together, because I had changed the layout of the quilt i'm doing. Finished up looked at the way I had some squares layed out on the design board only to discover the block I tore apart would have fit the design perfectly.

Thank you for making me feel better for finding the lost bobbin holder that was there all the time.

So ... I put it up, plug in the power, plug in the foot pedal, put white thread on top and in bobbin. Position fabric, step on pedal and ... nothing.

    Lights on, but nobody's home.

I unplug it, and plug it back in (works for my PC ?), light goes on, step on pedal and ... nothing.

    Well what the .....

Re-thread it, check bobbin, turn thumb wheel - needle moves up and down and picks up bobbin thread and feed dogs are properly moving fabric so what can possibly be wrong?

Step on pedal again while turning wheel ... nuthin.

cussing, scratching head, cussing some more, pulling table out to check everything ... husband walks in and asks what's wrong. I tell him. He sits down and say's "Ok - which foot pedal do I step on to make it go?"

    never mind ..... :)
I'm wondering, if that pedal was still hooked up, how did that quilt turn out?

Once had an electric stapler that wouldn't work so sent it out to our maintenace department. Later one of the maintenace workers came in and said all fixed. But, he added "it would have worked if it had staples in it.

Yup, that's funny. Boy, sure glad I'm not the only person in the whole world that has done that. Live and learn. And always remember to laugh, especially at yourself. Auntie B.
