Just out of curiousity, does prewashing and drying help? I find yard goods are often stretched/distorted as they are wound onto the bolt.

You don’t have a thing to worry about with your block. It looks great and I don’t see the problem at all. You are good to go! LOL!

What adorable fabric, and a wonderful star! I don’t see any issues at all, it looks perfect to me and I can’t wait to see the finished quilt.

Looks Great to me. Even enlarged all the way I could not see the "extra Black". I love your block and think it will make any quilt spectacular. Both of my cats agree.
