Can anyone give me tips on sewing satin binding onto flannel baby blanket? My binding slips and puckers when I want it to
be smooth even tho I pinned it in many places.
Also, what is the suggested thread for this? Thanks!

Shhhh! Here's what I do. . . On the wrong side, I hand baste the back side in place, then flip it over and sew the top side, the blanket and the backside together. Take out the basting thread, NO PUCKERS!! 8-)

I have made many all flannel baby quilts and bound them with satin ribbon. LOTS of pins, fairly close together, and I used a decorative stitch to attach so I would be sure to catch the edges on both top and bottom.
