Years ago before the non skid plasitc came out I bought them from Joannes' I think. They are just little sandpaper dots with adhesive on them. Work great. You could just use regular sandpaper, cut out your dots and glue them on somehow.[/quote]

You can also buy thin sandpaper with an adhesive back at most hardware stores, easier than gluing.
My Joanns still sells the sandpaper dots. I find them more effective than the clear plastic ones

I Googled it as I had never heard of it before and am now heading to Joann's to use my 40% off coupon. I am grateful that this was posted otherwise I may have never known about it. THANKS!

Youcan alsouse paper adhesive tape instead of the sandpaper dots . It has simewhat a rough surface to grip fabric.

I googled the shape cut ruler and don't understand what it does. It looks like a regular ruler to me. Need enlightenment!

The shape cutter lets you cuts strips of fabrics in increments of 1/2" without moving the fabric every time. It works great!

instead of sandpaper dots, try the foam with adhesive backing, found in the craft of children departments. So cool, love them much better than the dots.
