I bought about 40 Olfa blades on eBay a while ago, so when they get dull, I don't hesitate to change them. I got a really good price, but I bid on them and I am up very late so it is a bit easier to win some of the auctions.

No thanks
That was my exact thoughts. I either use HF blades when I can get them, or I order a bunch on ebay for way less then the price he gets for sharpening.

JoAnne's has them on sale 50% right now. You have to ask for the multi packs at our store, as they are (sadly) small enough to pocket and walk out. (I'm in MI)

Quote: I agree, but i have to say, i bought a sharpener a month ago and used it for the first time last week...I am SHOCKED how well and new it made my blade...It gave my blade a brand new life ( I don't know how many times i would sharpen the blades), but i am sold on it and will def. save $ on purchasing new blades.

Which sharpener did you use? Been wondering about that since i have a hard time finding my replacement blade size, seems that dont make it any longer and I wont get rid of my cutter.
I also have this sharpener (tho' not in the kids toy box..LOL) and find it works well, and gives me longer use on old blades. Had a nick in one, and it pretty well removed it. About $15. if you pay full price, which I try never to do!
