shophop has me frustrated this month
#12
I won a Brother 1500 quilting machine finding the bunnies back when the prizes were new machines. I got a call that informed me I won, the machine was shipped to me. Simple and honest. It's worth the effort to play.

When I first started the Fabric Hop, there were three. Annilee's Treasure Hunt and another one that featured a worm, I think. I liked those two better because there were fewer shops! I think 100 is about the max I would ever want to find, and I believe the Fabric Hop is past that now, since it's the main player these days. I enjoyed seeing new fabric and learning about new shops, but after 100 sites and getting frustrated over the ones that hide the bunny too well, I quit. I wish they did them more frequently with fewer shops...and more chances to win!

I've won a lot of $10 GCs from various shops over the years. I recently one a second prize and received some nice fabric. I try not to do the hop every month. I always wander over to every store's clearance section and end up spending more money than I need to. Lord knows, my stash is big enough, BUT....

I'm getting really frustrated with the shop hops, not because I can't find the bunnies, but because the free quilt blocks keep "moving" around. I don't know about the rest of you, but I just barely can find the time to do the shop hop in the first place, and I surely don't have time to go back and check already visited (and bunny found) shops to try and get the blocks I'm missing. When they first started moving the free blocks around you were able to get the full quilt pattern with all blocks and setting instructions if you found even just one of the block patterns. That did not stop me from completing the full shop hop, but the "moving" blocks will. I'm wondering if anyone else shares my frustration with this issue??

I could not find Quilters Corner or Craft Connection. I think you only need to find 140 shops to be eligible for the prizes this time. Check the rules. Sometimes, only when they have a bonus prize, do you need to find ALL of them. I haven't won anything from them in quite a few years. Won some fabric, and a few $10 certificates. Each month I see one, I think "I'm not going to do it this time", but then I like the pattern you get when you hop, and then there is the thought that I have been doing it for so many years, I might miss something!!

Craft Connection has a link above the bunny on the homepage which will take you to the fabrics page. Scroll down below all of the fabrics and you will find the bunny.
