Short Panne?

Short Panne?
I have been desperately looking for a zebra print fabric in black and lime green. WalMart has been out of stock for weeks. Today, I found this at Hancocks, but have no idea what "Short Panne" could be, other than some type of poly. Can anyone help me? I need it to make a tote bag, using fusible fleece as a stiffener.

do you think it would be durable enough for a tote if I backed it with some fusible fleece?

Panne is normally a knit fabric with a pile nap. It is often used for gowns because it drapes well. If the fusible does not have a lot of give, I think you will be OK. The only thing I would worry about is if the panne will take the heat to fuse the interfacing. Check on a scrap first.
