Default show me your jinny beyer magic.

i picked up a border print and a large mirror printed paisley main fabric today, along with complimentary linens.

now for design love. how many of you have made her fabrics dance?

the borders seem more experiment friendly, but i bet a bunch of you have wonderful beyer magic in your galleries.

    please share!

Love, love, love her work. To do one (or more) is certainly on my bucket list. Hope there are lots of pics to show up here. Can't wait to see them.

My cat Gabby certainly needs some ideas for how to best use this Jinny Beyer fabric.

If you look at Jinny Beyer's Facebook entries you will see many uses of her fabric. I have been working with her border prints. there usually is a wider section and a narrow section separated by a black line.My method is to decide how I want to use the fabric...border with sashing, or border and sashing; then separate the two by cutting 1/4 inch of the black for each design. I lay out the fabric so the lines are running up the mat away from me, use in 24 inch ruler to measure 1/4 inch , I then cut up to the top of the mat. I do each line before moving the fabric to do the next section. It work for me. JB Studio has a wonderful "Sock Quilt" design with a center design of 9 patch sections with brilliant palette colors separated by sashing that helps you get used to Border Print usage. She also has many tutorials on her site. Hope this gives you some ideas.

Your Gabby is so cute, I think I've said that before, she looks exactly like my Mammy cat. I could have named Mammy Gabby because she is very, very vocal, especially when she thinks (I emphasize she) it's time to eat. Oh, the fabric is pretty too!
