Default Mini Dresdens

I have always liked Dresden Plate Quilts. I am making my second one now for one of my Granddaughters. I was surfing around and found a pattern and template for a mini Dresden at Eleanor Burns Quilt in a Day. I ordered and can wait till it gets here. I want to make a mini for her doll. How cute will that be?

If you want to see mini Dresdens ... take a look at Granny_59's work ....

Here's her micro-mini Dresden ...

And here's an earlier one, that's larger ... though I have a feeling Eleanor Burns' will be larger than both.

I am putting the binding now on a mini Dresden using the Eleanor Burns Quilt in A Day pattern. The little template for the dresdens was so easy to use, I decided to get the scalloped ruler for the edge. It was so much easier than I thought it could be.

Those tiny dresden plates are VERY intimidating to me.

I thought about ordering the scalloped ruler and thought it would be too hard. Now I am rethinking that. Glad you told me.

The scalloped ruler was easy, and it can be used for marking vine paths too. I was worried that binding a scalloped would be difficult but this scallop is shallow enough that there are no weird points to maneuver. I definitely recomend it.
