Geez, I keep finding more machines that I want. One of these days I'll get me one of those old machines that I keep hearing about. Really, really want one!

I have had my 301 since I started work in high school 1956.
It was the first thing I bought with my own money, and has
been running great ever since, with only oil and grease and a
good cleaning occasionally (NO SERVICE) Have my mother's
machine also but the Singer is still my favorite...

Like my 301 too. Think it's better than the featherweight because it is gear driven.

I have a 301 and I love it.I only paid $22.50 for it at an estate sale. Had it overhauled and she runs great.

I, too have recently acquired a 301 and although I love my FWs deeply, I must say the 301 is my very favorite!

My DIL called one day recently and said her family had an old Singer sewing machine they were getting rid of and wondered if I would want it. I said "sure" sight unseen. It turned out to be a 301 in great shape. Haven't used it yet but if I every need to make a baby quilt for them, I will use this machine.
