The picture looks just like the one I have and I bought it refurbished many years ago. That is a good price. I would grab the deal.

Oh and it is a legitimate Singer the model number for that machine is a Model 15-CH.

CH is for "Crappy Heap"....errr... I mean China.

There indeed is a new singer treadle reproduction. I just saw one at a shop where I live. They were selling it for $100 new. I think the $80 is a good buy.

Hi I have just joined and collect old sewing machines. This treadle was a 50th anniversary edition of the Model 15 Sphinx. It was manufactured in China in 1973 and sold through catalogs such as Fingerhut. They did sell for about $100 new. The cabinet is pressed board and not a whole lot of them survived. I have never sewn with one of these but have read reports that they were far inferior to the Model 15 originals.
