There are a pair on DayStyleDesigns.com that have smaller and pointy blades, but have large handles so they're comfortable to use. I think they're "Famore" brand.

I have smaller Ginghers in addition to my regular sewing-size ones (but bigger than the embroidery size...I want to say they are the 5 inch blade), and I love them. They're called tailor point, or something like that? Super sharp, and great for accuracy cutting. I've even ripped out seams with them in a pinch.

Mine came from ebay.

I ordered and have received the 4" Elan micro serrated blade scissors.. Looks like it will work wonderfully...

Now I have another question... Directions call for 3 yards of Lite Steam a Seam.. I was expecting to find something 24-36" wide and order 3 yards of it.. I find it 1/4" to 1/2" wide.. This doesn't seem to be in line with how the directions call to use it.. Anyone know what I am suppose to use?

THANKS!

I have Fiskars, both large and smaller that are more pointed. Sorry to hear about your father. I lost mine 3 years August.
