Default Sisters Quilt Show

Wooohooooo, I finally made it to Sisters, OR for the outdoor quilt show, what an adorable town! I am SO excited...anyone else here?

i just read that Jean Wells (mother of fabric designer Valorie Wells) and Cathi Howell started this show in 1975.

Today a trailride ...my two favorite things, quilting and horses

Awesome! Hope you have an enjoyable day! Have you found a way to quilt while horseback riding? Then you could do two things you love at the same time! Just kidding. The horse might object!

The Oregon Expo is supposed to be going on right now in Redmond. We went last year. It was a good shopping spree and not that far from Sisters. I really wish I was there in Oregon with you!!!!

It was a scorcher...due to health issues I didn't last but a few hours, but it was worth it. Very nice! And hubby bought me a very nice light for the RV, so I'm a happy camper

I was there! It WAS really hot, and crowded...I wasn't as prepared for that as I thought so DH & I only lasted a few hours before we left. I went to the expo in Redmond too - spent way too much money! Wish they had more of a "show" at the Redmond expo but the vendors were great. No sales tax means everything is on sale! (At least, that's how I kept justifying buying more stuff!)

I want to go again, and prepare better next time. It was really neat to see the whole town decked out in quilts. I'd never been there before - would like to go again when the show is not on and just check out the town. Looks like a cute place but was hard to see because of all the crowds!
