Sit down quilting machines
#11
My husband turned my Bailey Pro 15 into a sit down machine. I love it so far I have quilted 3 twin size quilts on it. And one day soon a king size. I don't anticipate any problems. My machine sits in a rather generous size table.
I found it difficult to stand for long periods of time also. As far as my stitch regulator/speed control. I used double sided tape and a small piece of wood to set how far down I can press the pedal down.

[QUOTE=speters54;6508917]I am wondering what size quilt you can successfully and comfortably quilt on a sit down machine (looking at HQ Sweet 16 or Gammill Charm). Also would love to hear about stitch regulation and am interested in feedback about HQ 16 versus the Gammill Charm.[/QUOTE I have quilted a large Queen size quilt on my Tiara!
Large being it hangs over the sides and foot of the bed.
I had no trouble.

I have a Tin Lizzie sit down and I've already quilted 2 kings on it. No problems at all.
I have a skinny folding table to the left of the table and use the extension table. It holds all the weight and it is smooth sailing.
Too bad you're not in the Huntsville area, you are welcome to come try mine out. Love my big machine
