    Here's something that might help finding and keeping that 1/8" mark for cutting......take a piece of painters tape and lay it on the ruler on top of those little dashes that the ruler shows for that measurement and make the "line" needed. I do that if I'm going to cut "a few" 8th sized pieces....easier on the eyes......just what I do........

    Another thank you for the tutorial. I have always wanted to make a snail trail quilt and as soon as I finish one UFO I think I'll give it a whirl.
