I would like to do a couch/twin size throw using hand pieced hexagons. It gives me something to do in the evenings when DH wants to watch a movie. I have to do something with my hands, otherwise I end up snacking way too much! I was going to do "grandmother's flower garden" but DH does not like the pattern. LOL I tried looking for mosaic type designs, but am coming up empty. Anyone out there have ideas on a different design where I could still use the hexagons? I'm open to anything at the moment!
    Thanks!!!
    Lori

Okay....I worked these up on EQ and I don't have the blocks program so I had to improvise, please ignore the lines inside each block. These are more male colors as you said it was for your DH

Your hexagons are shaped a little different I think, but the design would still work out very similat to these

The first 2 and the last one have some subtle differences in the designs

Hey thanks Amma! Those are great!. It's not technically for my DH, just for our couch in the family room.... but I don't want something in there they he will hate! LOL. I really like moroccan mosaics, but I don't think they lend themselves to hexagons very well.

BTW, we used to live in Olympia many years ago up by OHS and my kids went to Pioneer Elementary. We loved it there, just couldn't find good paying jobs, so off we went to North Carolina.

I'm doing one, it will take me a few years.....

It's going to go through all the colours, I bought batik rolls that have every single colour in them.

It's a bit wrinkled, it's been put away for a few weeks. But you get the idea. :-)
