Fusible web is an adhesive. That's all it is, a hardened glue substance that is softened by the heat of an iron and adheres to the surfaces on either side of it. When it cools, it again turns solid and holds the two things together. It does not wash out, nor is it intended to. That would defeat the purpose.

Are you thinking of water soluble stabilizer perhaps?

if you are thinking of a temporary glue type product, you can use Elmer's glue... that washes away. some glue sticks wash away as well,.

OESD Aqua Mesh is a wash away stabilizer. Sulky also sells a water soluble stabilizer. Both brands are available online and/or at your LQS. Most Joann's sell Sulky stabilizers too.

steam a seam lite, heat N bond lite, wonder under- all wash away when you launder your finished quilt- the fusables are made to keep everything secure for stitching- then they wash away.

Walmart here has wash away fusible. I don't remember the brand name but it works the same as the wash away fusible stabilizer from Sulky. I have several yards of it so I'll look to see if there is a name brand anywhere. I may have kept the plastic instructions with it but I usually throw that out.

Wonder Under most certainly does not wash away, nor do the other two you mentioned, at least in my years of experience.

You are right that those fusibles don't wash away--they soften in the wash, but they are still there. Floriani FSWF is a Stitch N W Wash Fusible Water Soluble stabilizer. You can buy it in a 12" by 10 yard roll. I have used it and it works well.
