Thanks! Next to fabric, I think patterns are my biggest collection! I see so many that I like and think might do for thus and such...

Oh thank you. My son us currently on the USS Ronald Reagon. I wanted to have this quilt done before he returns home in the fall.

I only wanted the pattern because it would allow me to use all the patriotic fabric in my stash. That would make you know who in this house so very happy!!!

Thank you. I am a bit worried because I know where the ship is, what they are doing, and I do not like what they are saying about the neuclear plant. There is more than one ship experiencing radiation levels. They are hazmat cleaning and moving the ships farther away each day.

The ship is posting pictures daily of there efforts. I would never recognize him if he was in one of the photo's in "those outfits". I saw duct tape on the sleeve's to secure them over gloves and boots. Think about it, when you gather fabric up, what happens.

its a simple double Irish chain pattern , heres directions for a larger one.
    http://www.how-to-quilt.com/patterns...rish-chain.pdf

my strips were cut 1.5 inches wide for a 5" finished block. I used reverse fabrics- green on white and white on green to make the chains. The shamrocks are simply cut out of a preprinted fabric or you can find one on the internet to trace and ironed on with wonder-under. the finished chain blocks are only 15 inches- 3 rows of 5 inch blocks and I added the 2 borders to make it about a 21 inch square wallhanging. Its easy to do, just need to follow the color placement directions. hope this helps . enjoy and Happy St Patrick's Day

Thank you! I plan to make a patriotic quilt and the Quilt of Valor will be perfect. I also plan on making a block to donate to Moda for the project.
