Don't you just love Shout. The first strip was first wash, second strip next wash. My red is now good to go. LOL

i hope the second one is not where you stopped- should wash until the color catcher comes out with no more color- if you are still getting that much color it is not done yet-
i had a green recently that i re-washed 5 times before i finally had my color catcher come out clear/white. had i stopped after 2 washes i would have had green tinged whites all through my quilt.

But your red is no longer red.

I would have trouble trusting that fabric.

I had that happen to a red I bought at the quilt shop and paid $10.99 a yard for. Fortunately, I only bought 1 yard. I didn't bother to take it back...........I was too disgusted and upset to make the trip!

I cannot live with out them i have a pair of cream colored curtains in my living room with burgandy trim they are at least 8 years old by now and they get washed every spring and fall they still bleed burgandy.I sure won't wash with out them on certain fabrics.
