OMG! I just found out this weekend that I am GOING TO BE A GRANDMA!!! (first one) Baby quilt patterns are flyin' around my sewing room! :P The only problem, is that my daughter and son-in-law PREFER not to learn the baby's sex, so can't do much with pink. So they haven't picked a "theme" for decor yet either. I CAN'T WAIT! (due early Nov) Guess I will just start with bright primary colors .... you can never have too many quilts! This opens up a whole new realm in quilt making for me.

Congratulations! It's so much fun having grandchildren! One can never have too many baby quilts. How about bright rainbow colors? Yellow/blue, yellow/green, even black & white with some bright color accents would look great! The hard part will be narrowing down your choices! LOL

Grandbabies are such a joy!! I have 5, one on the way, and hope we get a bunch more as time goes by. Two daughters married with those babies, and hoping the youngest will have more than 2. Still two sons with no wives....so, we keep hoping!! LOL

How about the quilt in Katie's avatar?? That would be really pretty for a boy or girl.

Stark contrast like black and white with primary colors mixed in are the colors new babies can see. You have a lot of quilt to make!

How exciting! I have fabric saved for an "I Spy" quilt. You might want to make one of those at some point.

Congatulaions!!! Grandbabies are wonderful. Just make lots of quilts for both boys and girls so you will be ready for either one.
