Default a special sales person

I just got home from Paducah and it was wonderful. Visited many vendors but one was special. I was inquiring about a special bobbin case for my Janome and was all set to buy it. He asked my model and said it won't make any difference on my machine. I just looked at him. He could have made a sale and was nice enough to say I didn't need it. But I bought some other items. This doesn't happen often.

I think some sales people know the machines better than others.

That is the type of person to buy your sewing machine from. I bought my Bernina 1530 from a guy that sounds a lot like the person you met. Too bad there aren't more people like them in this world!. Hope you had fun.

I have found that if you buy a machine and its accessories from a single company (I am a BERNINA gal) you get that kind of service. If you buy from a company that sells all brands of machines you find people with limited knowledge of any of the products and they are there to make a sale. I am glad you found a great sales person and that you have expressed your appreciation.

Have you told him that he was superb? I often mention something like this to my friends but forget to tell the person. So glad to hear you had a great experience.
