    Default stabilizer

    I am going to make sone T-shirt quilts. What iron on stabilizer do you use? I have made some before using a lightweight stabilizer. I don't think it was heavy enough.

    Are you using stabilizer or interfacing? They are not the same thing. Those that I know who make t shirt quilts usually using a lightweight interfacing like easy knit.

    A guild members makes tee shirt quilts for customers. She uses this;

    CAREGY Light Weight White Iron-On Non-Woven Fusible Interfacing 12 inch X 27 Yards Light Weight Non-Woven Interfacing

    It is on Amazon for $10 a roll. It comes in medium weight also. I would suggest buying both.

    I use a lightweight fusible interfacing. I make a tee shirt quilt for each grandchild graduating high school. I cut apart the tee shirts at the shoulders and side seams and cut out the sleeves. Then I fuse the interfacing on the inside of the pieces. Then and only then do I cut the blocks the size I want them to be.
