I had something happen similar to your experience. I was making a baby dress. Unknown to me, I stuck myself and bled (leaving a spot on the dress). Before I noticed the spot, I had run over it with the iron. I thought, man, that will never come out now. But, I used a shampoo (Suave - an el-cheapo shampoo) and it took it right out. I'm a firm believer.

I say, whatever works, don't knock it! LOL

I just got a stain out of an old quilt using a Q-tip and very small amount of bleach. Just dabbed the fabric with the q-tip that I had dipped in the bleach and the stain came out in a few minutes. Then I stuck the area under the faucet with cool water and rinsed it lightly. The bleach did not go through to the other side.
