    Default Star quilt block?

I need your assistance ladies! I am looking for a free pattern of a star block that finishes at 9".

I have searched and searched. I can find the blocks smaller and larger. I don't know how to resize them to be smaller or larger.

So, do you have a link that gives measurements and instructions of star blocks? If so, please share!

    Thank you so much!!

Many of us have Electric Quilt or other programs that can size blocks to whatever size we wish. I'm a bit hampered since I'm out of installations and so don't have it on my current computer and don't have the ability to easily print from my other system -- but I'm sure someone on the board could manage to print out some patterns for you, if it comes to that.

For blocks designed in thirds that finish to 12", you can use graph paper, instead of 4 squares to the inch (make sure you don't get the 5 squares to an inch grid!), you would use 3 squares as an "inch".

It's a little harder for blocks designed forths, but still doable via graph paper.

Or, and maybe easiest, you can use information like this worksheet
    https://www.rapidresizer.com/home/20...rcent-or-scale
and adjust the pattern on a copier -- I often use my Staples near me for all sorts of quilting related stuff

Thanks! I don't have any software. It's been Google and I for about a day and a half. When I type in 9" block I end up with 9 patch results.

    I'll check your link! Thanks!

Did a bit of googling myself and came up with a link that I think might help
    http://blog.shopmartingale.com/quilting-sewing/24340/
The price is reasonable new and even better as an ebook if you can do them. (I also looked at used books on Amazon, no good savings so I'd spend the extra buck and buy it new from the source) Or there are always used book stores!

I can't believe I didn't come across this hours ago.

    Thanks again!

Quilters cache you can sort by sizes. Here are links to a 9" star block

There are loads more. Just scroll down to the 9" sizes and have fun picking some out.

And if none of those work for you, Missouri Star has a tutorial on a jelly roll star that I have made quite a few times. It can be size adjusted by cutting down/lengthening the size of the pieces.
