Very pretty. I've never made one but it looks like something I'd like to try some day!

Normally I don't care for pink, but your quilt is absolutely beautiful. I think it would make a wonderful quilt.

Thank you all again-I'm humbled by all your compliments. I am so insecure about posting my work.
Many have commented on the fabric. I have never worked with pink (most of my work is very dark) and rarely use florals unless they're black. This fabric line is April Cornell from Joann Fabrics. I fell in love with them, bought them, and then couldn't figure out what to do with them. I think they worked well and I can't wait to check out her new line.
Thanks again everyone.

1: if I decide to make it into a quilt, how do I determine the size of the "inset" blocks in the corners? Do I measure and add seam allowances or is there another way?

2. if I decide to keep it a table topper, can I sandwich top, batting, and backing then sew and turn it right side out? I really don't want to add binding as it would detract from the stripes.

Thanks so much for your help!
Jan, I've made sev. of these but out here (west coast) they are called New Orleans Puzzle. I do all of mine pillowcase style which is the way you describe which lets you turn it inside out. It's easy to sharpen the points. Then I press that edge to sharpen it. Then I do SID on every seam. That gets tedious but you get around it eventually.
I love your colors.

The ones I've seen bound have binding that matches the outer border of each point. Don't know how they did it but it looked great.

That's beautiful. I think that I would sandwich it inside out & turn it back & do some quilting on it. I agree that binding would detract from the stripes. But I would put it on a wall to be seen every day.
