I know somewhere I have already talked about the batting I bought to make some potato bags. When I went to Hancocks and bought warm and natural batting by the yard what I thought was 100% cotton. Well I had noticed that the package said that it was Federal Requirements 87.5% cotton and 12.5% polypropylene.
Well because I was in doubt about it I decided to call warm and natural company. I told her what I wanted to make and she told me that what I had was not 100%. And she said that the soft and natural was 100% and to use that.

But the best thing of all that she had told me was that the potato bags are so popular that they have been working on a batting just for the microwave. And it should be out possibly in the fall. I told her that would be great. Just on time to make some for the Christmas gifts. Can't wait to try it.

I assume potato bags are utilized to make baked taters in the microwave. Sounds kind of cool, actually.

One lady I know bought one at a craft sale, and used it according to the instructions, and it caught on fire in the microwave. Maybe this was a fluke, I'm going to wait until they come out with a special bat for the microwave, rather than risk it. Does seem to be a good idea, and anything that makes a good baked potato is OK in my book. I just don't want it bursting into flames on me.
