I saw one of the quilts that was done that way, with the scraps in the border. Liked how it tied the border and quilt together. Thanks so much! Chris

I got the first row sewn together! Surprised at how the size of the quilt reduced. By half, started with 34" and the first row is 17". Since I'm making preemie quilts I want a close 30" quilt, maybe for the first one I might have to add a little bit larger than normal border but thought I might add a mini border first then the wider one wouldn't look too bad.
I can see why if you making a large quilt, you would want to use the 10" template. Don't think I'll be working one of those so the baby quilts will be fine! Chris
