I use 100% cotton....top and bottom. :0) (Did you drop your feed dogs? And, practice on a small piece to get the rhythm. Sometimes the breaking of threads is the feeling of having to hurry(then we do)...when actually you just need to slow down a bit on moving your quilt thru. Just some thoughts....)
