I piece and paper piece at 1.5 for secure stitching, that's what I was told was the best to insure your seams don't pull apart when I first started. I never see any stitching when I press open the seams. If I am a little unsure of matched seams I first stitch at around 3.0 on a couple of short spots so I can turn and see if I am matched then secure stitch the entire length. The 3.0 is so easy to remove if I am off and have to reposition.

2.0 if harder to rip if you have a problem. However there is a great seam ripper with a magnifying glass and a light that works well. Nothing smaller would be my advice. Usually I use 2.5 which my machine chooses to come on at.

Same here. My default is 2.5 and that works fine for most piecing. Need smaller like 2.0 or 1.8 for paper piecing.

First - THANKS for the chart!
I used to use what came up automatically on my Bernina (2.5) but find it really (I feel) is too lose of a stitch. I use a 2.0 now for all of my piecing. I use 1.5 or sometimes a little lower for paper piecing.
