Thanks for all the tips. I may ask about the cardboard box next time I'm at my local fabric store.

Space is at a premium at my place. I just finished re-conquering the craft room so I don't want to refill the space I just got back....

I am pretty sure that pet screen is a fiberglass screen. If it's what I think then you can buy it at Home Depot or Lowes. It is sold by the roll in the window screen department. It come in black or grey. I use it to make beach bags. It's easy to sew on.

Lilaciris, That ruler organizer is very clever. It looks like a bunch of us want the directions. Would you share, please?

I just found pet screen online at fabricdepot.com. It is 54" wide and comes in many colors (blue, yellow, orange, lt. green, spruce green, etc) It sells for $18.99 per yard.

I have found that the best place to store my large cutting mat is under an area rug on a hard surface floor.

Thank you, OG. I'll look for it the next time I'm in there. They already think I'm nuts. I get a lot of my cake decorating "supplies" there. The last time I was in there I bought high density paint rollers to smooth icing.

 The guy asks, "You're going to do what?"
So now I'm gonna ask for pet screen to make a cutting board and ruler tote. Can't wait to see his face.
