Default Storing Pantographs

I have a couple dozen pantographs for my long arm quilting--and right now they are all just laying on a bed in a spare bedroom. I have been trying to come up with an idea for how to store them. How do you all store your collection of Pantographs?

I have mine in a clear plastic tote. The lid keeps them clean and they are all together

Rolled up together in a plastic container by size. If I had more I would probably do a listing of what I have. If I did quilting for others I would definitely have diagrams of what I have in a book for customers to see.

I saw a really cool hanging clear plastic storage for them at a quilt show. You might do a search for panto storage.

Depending on the amount you want to spend you could get a map cabinet or an art cabinet. Demco is a library and school supply company and would carry these. Expensive but might be worth it if you have enough pantos.

I saw another lady that had them in a hanging shoe rack.Really more of a hanging shoe organizer. It was clear had little compartments to stack them. Only thing I saw wrong was they were still 'exposed' to dust/bugs Kind of like this but the sides were clear http://www.organize.com/skyline-hang...-10-shelf.html

I just have mine rolled up with a rubber band and on a shelf...not very fancy!

I have an antique steamer trunk that still had its inserts. Mine are stored in there, rolled up in a rubberband along with my thread, I have fabric stash in the bottom part. But I only have a half dozen or so pantos and if I get much more thread I will rapidly run out of room in that trunk.

I have... more than a few of these (Thank you, Patricia Ritter, for your awesome monthly club . It's pricey, but I ultimately bought an Elfa storage unit from the Container store. Medium width, the shallowest drawers are perfect for a single layer, and this way I can see them and grab them easily, and the units are deep enough to hold even the widest pantographs (for example, ones that include both a main design and the border). The lovely woman I bought my Millenium from uses these - http://www.containerstore.com/shop/c...10005482&N=149 - and really likes them. Much less expensive, but she doesn't have two cats that think the bloody things are toys.

I went to look to see how I have mine stored..and realized I have them in THREE places! In my defense, I inherited some with my current machine, I had some from a smaller set up and I have the ones I purchased. I use mine the most. I am thinking I need to weed some out!

Some are in an old wastebasket, sort of sorted by size. (some wont' fit under the shelf!)
Some are in one of those wire shelve sets. I made a cube and the longer ones fit in the open holes. You can see pieces of my Red Snapper loading set. And the smallest ones are in a shoe bag that is hanging on the back of the door. I rarely use these as alot of them I bought early on. I can freehand most of those now. Mostly I use them for ideas. I love to see how others organize theirs...
