My avatar picture was done with rectangle blocks. This too, stumped me until I realized my 'other' fabric just needed to be the same size as the princess fabric. Not sure what blocks make up into the right size rectangle....

I also have this Strawberry Shortcake material. I bought it in the 80's for an outfit for my daughter.......

I am not going to turn the block itself on point, I was thinking of making the borders perhaps in a triangle design to make the entire block on point. The top, bottom and sides would be triangle shaped. I do like the idea of attic windows, as well as pinwheel...and the scalloped borders...oh what to do.

Make sure you mark the tall end of every irish chain block so you don't sew them together wrong... the oblong blocks must face the same direction on every block or they won't meet in the corners. it will be beautiful!!!!

I really like the first one as well! I could do the outside in the pink and white with the green in the center, and then I could embroidery or put a strawberry applique in the center! Thanks!

how about a rectangle in a rectangle? you could duplicate the size and shape of your block and by planned scrapping, use all of those nice colors.

Just another idea to throw into the mix...I think eparys post of her "Mother Goose" quilt would work for your Strawberry Shortcake panels. I bookmarked it for the next time I run across some cute panels. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-47422-1.htm
She posted the pattern link too: http://www.pbtex.com/html/mothergoosepat.html
